03/16/2026  Wedding of Matthew Murdock and Karen Page Category: Uncategorized While that it was a slightly cold and damp day in New York City, the church was humming with the priest preparing himself for the ceremony that was coming. Getting ready with the back room with his best friend Foggy, the jitters and excitement both there as a new chapter of his life was beginning, it had been the story that had been a long time in coming. Being in the familiar church was nice as well, although as a Catholic he couldn’t imagine being in another church. Taking the day with some seriousness and gravity as well as this wasn’t just a marriage ceremony but considered a sacred sacrament as well Finally getting up to the front of the church to stand beside his best friend and the priest, he had a surprise for her, he could see. Dr Strange had given him for a short time, the gift of sight. He was taking it all in, the sight of the church, looking out the window to see the sky again. The only one he hadn’t seen was the woman he was marrying. He pictures her in his mind but today he would see her face. 	Matt Murdock (The Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen)	As he thanked the priest, gave a hug to his mother and thanked those who had came, glad for the blessing for their child that was going to be with them soon enough. He took her hand in his own as first he gave Foggy a hug as well, after all he was his wingman. 	Karen Murdock (Hell’s Kitchen)	She heard the priest pronounce them man and wife, and she smiled even more at Matt, seeing him smile as much. She felt their kiss he gave her, and as she gave to him, so loving and passionate. It was a moment that came true for her. She heard their friends standing and clapping for them. She heard the priest say, "Mr. and Mrs. Murdock have asked for a special prayer. I will do so now." Seeing the priest move his hand over her stomach "May your child be blessed and cradled with love and joy and happiness. Congratulations on the newest addition to your family." 	Matt Murdock (The Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen)	Seeing the ring on his finger, it was something he would have to get use to but it meant so much as it was a reminder of the pledge he made to her as he couldn’t help to smile. As the priest had a prayer said for them as a couple, for the church and for the world. He blessed as well the communion as he presented them both with it as he took the bread and wine from the priest as the knelt for it. After the communion was given, the priest gave a smile to them both “as a servant of Christ here on this Earth, may His blessings shine on you as you journey into this life together, may you remember your love and vows that you made this day, what God has joined, let not man put asunder. In the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and the state of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss now” as he had to smile as he had been waiting for this moment as he put an arm around her waist and gave her a passionate kiss. 	Karen Murdock (Hell’s Kitchen)	She heard what the priest said, and hearing Matt repeat it, she smiled at him, seeing him put the ring on her finger. It looked so amazing with her wearing the ring; they found the perfect rings. She did the same and repeated what Matt said as he put the rings on his finger. It truly looked so amazing she couldn't help her smile as he smiled back at her, knowing there was a bit to go yet. The ceremony is truly the most beautiful day of her life. Seeing all their friends gathered as well—that was a true blessing with their family and friends together. She loved seeing the smile on his mother's face and now will be her mother-in-law that she is proud to be. They had the rings in their hand with their hand wide open. As the priest said a blessing over the rings, she knew that was a part of the Catholic Church. It was such an amazing feeling going to their wedding with her, feeling her heart and soul, and knowing Matt can see her; she was so thrilled for that. 	Matt Murdock (The Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen)	As the priest was satisfied with the vows that was given as he continued on to the ring ceremony as he got the ring from Foggy who had been holding it, he waited on the priest who gave his blessings to the ring as he made the sign of the cross “Bless and sanctify your servants in their love, O Lord, and let these rings, a sign of their faithfulness, remind them of their love for one another.” As he took the wedding ring and added it to her engagement ring that she had been wearing, he looked at her once again with sincerity “Receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. When she heard his vows, she already had hers ready to be said as well, knowing everything he said was true. "Matt, you know how much I love you, and I will always be your best friend. He knew that he had to focus on the ceremony though as the priest continued “with both consenting now it is time for the exchanging of the vows, if you would like to go first Matthew” as he looked at her, noticing her perfectly sea blue eyes for the first time “Karen, we have been through so much together, you’ve been nothing but patient, loving, loyal and remained my best friend through all of it. 	Matt Murdock (The Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen)	Standing there with Foggy, hearing his buddy’s words as he had to give a knowing nod “yes, a little but I am ready for this as I think I’ve ever been in my life, thanks for being my wingman” as the music started and he saw her walk down the aisle, he knew that Karen didn’t know that he had sight. He thought she was the most beautiful woman, he had known that before but now he had seen her with his own eyes as he had to smile, taking her hand in his own as they went in front of the priest “ Matt and Karen would first of all love to thank their family and friends for being here on their wedding day. You all mean so much to them through the times they have had in their lives with all of you. From the moment they meant was the moment that changed their lives forever in an amazing way. They want to share their day with all of you as they give their love even more on this day to be married. Their love grows deep in their heart and soul. This day will be the day they fully become husband and wife. She made sure that everything was perfect and saw that it was. She was ready now for their day. She finished putting on her dress and the few small flowers she put in her hair. She looks at Marcie. All is good. "Yes, definitely, you look beautiful, Karen. The small flowers in your hair are a nice touch." She heard the soft music playing; she knew it was time.
