"The Formal Ball The Letter to Natalya Petrovna"
The Vampire King
became restless. He was feeling a deep sense of loneliness. Although,
Gage had many children to lighten his mood and brighten his days,
something was missing. He missed intimacy, love and connection with a
mate. Gage decided to have a Formal ball to invite noble females from
surrounding countries. He wanted to see if he could find what he was
missing in his existence. He would make sure the event was an elaborate
affair. Everything would be perfect, the ballroom would be decked to
the hilt. He would find the finest of musicians, the most delectable
foods of all kinds. The invitation list would be vast in his pursuit of
finding a female that would suit his liking.
Gage sat at his desk
in his office. He chose the finest of parchment he possessed, then
began to write the special invitation. With his quill in his hand, he
wrote in a calligraphy style of print. It took hours to prepare. He
wanted it perfect. The invitation was completed. He called in Jack.
"Jack I want this invitation sent out to noble ladies from various
countries to attend a formal ball that I am going to have. Please make
sure to copy it on the parchment I have selected. Then emboss the
envelopes with a golden wax seal bearing the Black Kingdom insignia."
Little
did Gage know, Jack already had someone in mind for the King. Only one
invitation would be sent out. It would be the handwritten invitation
that Gage had worked for hours upon. Jack sat in his quarters with a
smile plastered upon his face. He addressed the envelope to Natalya
Petrovna in Russia. Jack had met the woman years ago while on
vacation. Natalya was delightful and very beautiful. Her personality
was a definite fit for his master. Jack sealed the envelope just as
Gage requested. He immediately sent it out. Jack marked it as
priority, hoping it would reach Natalya soon.
Gage had his
servants begin to prepare the ballroom for the event. It was to happen
within a couple of weeks. He wondered what kinds of females he would
have the pleasure of meeting. Immortals and Mortal women were to be
invited. Gage did not mind if the woman he chose was Mortal or not.
Once he vowed to never marry a mortal again, due to his beloved human
wife not wanting to become what he was. Gage loved her unconditionally,
he was very committed to her. Gage watched her grow old then die of
old age. His heart was shattered. For years, the King was a bachelor
widower. His heart had belonged to the Mortal woman that died in his
arms. Never again, he vowed to himself the pain was to great to bare.
