"The Formal Ball The Letter to Natalya Petrovna"

The Vampire King became restless.  He was feeling a deep sense of loneliness.  Although, Gage had many children to lighten his mood and brighten his days, something was missing.  He missed intimacy, love and connection with a mate.  Gage decided to have a Formal ball to invite noble females from surrounding countries.  He wanted to see if he could find what he was missing in his existence.  He would make sure the event was an elaborate affair.  Everything would be perfect, the ballroom would be decked to the hilt.  He would find the finest of musicians, the most delectable foods of all kinds. The invitation list would be vast in his pursuit of finding a female that would suit his liking.

Gage sat at his desk in his office.  He chose the finest of parchment he possessed, then began to write the special invitation.  With his quill in his hand, he wrote in a calligraphy style of print.  It took hours to prepare.  He wanted it perfect.  The invitation was completed.  He called in Jack.  "Jack I want this invitation sent out to noble ladies from various countries to attend a formal ball that I am going to have.  Please make sure to copy it on the parchment I have selected. Then emboss the envelopes with a golden wax seal bearing the Black Kingdom insignia."

Little did Gage know, Jack already had someone in mind for the King.  Only one invitation would be sent out.  It would be the handwritten invitation that Gage had worked for hours upon.  Jack sat in his quarters with a smile plastered upon his face.  He addressed the envelope to Natalya Petrovna in Russia.  Jack had met the woman years ago while on  vacation.  Natalya was delightful and very beautiful.  Her personality was a definite fit for his master.  Jack sealed the envelope just as Gage requested.  He immediately sent it out.  Jack marked it as priority, hoping it would reach Natalya soon.

Gage had his servants begin to prepare the ballroom for the event.  It was to happen within a couple of weeks.  He wondered what kinds of females he would have the pleasure of meeting.  Immortals and Mortal women were to be invited.  Gage did not mind if the woman he chose was Mortal or not.  Once he vowed to never marry a mortal again, due to his beloved human wife not wanting to become what he was.  Gage loved her unconditionally, he was very committed to her.  Gage watched her grow old then die of old age.  His heart was shattered.  For years, the King was a bachelor widower.  His heart had belonged to the Mortal woman that died in his arms.  Never again, he vowed to himself the pain was to great to bare.

Gage had no clue what Jack had done regarding his formal ball, inviting only one woman to attend. The night had arrived. Gage placed on his black suit then made sure his hair looked perfect. Gage was delighted yet apprehensive meeting the ladies from faraway lands. He double checked how he looked. He had no mirror, due to vampires not being able to see their reflection in them. Gage rushed down the marble staircase towards Jack's quarters. "Well, How do I look? Do I look fetching and dapper? I want to take someone's breath away tonight. I'm excited, Jack I truly am." Jack approved, then told Gage that he would be late if he didn't hurry up.

Gage peered outside of the window, he saw an ornate white carriage being drawn by gallant white beasts. The way the setting moon caught its glow was tantalizing. Gage looked further down the drive to see the others arriving. He thought it was odd to only see one carriage. "The others must be late or it was the mail service being slow, as usual. He hoped the passenger in the carriage was the one he'd been looking for. The one his heart had been longing for. Gage's heart had been empty for quite some time. He was not desperate he was lonely. All of those empty nights, being alone. He had grown tired of it. He missed having someone there to snuggle up to.

The ballroom was decked out to the hilt. It was decorated in obsidian table clothes adorned with brilliant bouquets of Apricot Juliet Roses They are known for their elegant, cupped, rosette-shaped blooms, Picasso lilies, rare bi-colored variety featuring white edges that reveal a deep purple "heart" or center. Jack had went beyond to make it look extra special. The flowers were beautiful. The finest money could buy. Their scent was impeccable. A Perfect choice for a magical evening. Jack knew Gage would want something unique, not the usual array of red roses and white calla lilies. Gage smiled at how elegant the room looked. the tables were covered with the Black Kingdom exclusive China, with apricot and white with deep purple embroidered seams upon beautiful linen napkins to accent the flower arrangements.

Gage had asked his Cousin Sir Malachi LeStat to play music for Gage's event. Malachi was the most talented violin player in the Kingdom. Malachi was blessed with the opportunity to help make Gage's night extra special. When Malachi began to play the room became magical with the beautiful sounds of his violin as the bow made love to it's strings. Gage knew he had made the right choice in asking his cousin to play for the Ball.

Gage became more excited as the hour drew closer. He was excited to see the females that he had sent the invitations to. He looked again outside of the window, seeing only the one carriage. He wasn't bothered by that. He just hoped the passenger of the carriage had carried "The One" he had been searching for his entire existence for. He smiled hearing a female voice coming from the foyer. It was familiar to him. Gage didn't know why, he thought he had heard the soft Russian accent before. He straightened his attire awaiting Jack to bring in then announce his first guest. Malachi played softly in the ballroom.

Natalya Petrovna{Russian Jewel}

Occ: This one is fixed...

The Formal Ball: A Journey to the New (Storyline with Gage)

Blog Location:https://www.realmroleplay.com/view_blog.php?id=0000001212

Background:

Natalya Petrovna was a child born of the Petrovna family. To be more exact, she was born of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna and Alexei Razumovsky, but there were no records of her birth. It was chosen to keep any child of Elizabeth hidden for unknown reasons. Alexei played a huge part in Elizabeth’s accession to the throne. In any case, Natalya was born into the world with pure love. She was the Russian Jewel to the crown many who knew her called her. Growing up she was the apple of both her parents’ eyes and was highly protected. This at times caused her to want to break out of her little cage.

As she grew up more eyes were upon her then anyone knew about. Some eyes that no one could think of to protect her from. Being a daughter of a noble, especially the empress puts one in front of those who would want to cause harm. One becomes a huge target or pawn for the great chess game that is politics. Because she lived in a no fear type of lifestyle, Natalya often snuck out of the palace to roam on her own. She wanted to feel somewhat free than just the cage she was born in. Yes, she was born into status and wealth, but there was far more put upon her than anyone knows. Natalya should have been more careful when she went out late at night to roam the woods.

One night after a party, Natalya snuck out of her room to go to the woods that was closed by the castle. To her, she would be safe and if needed she could always run back for protection. But she should have been more careful about those eyes being upon her. The deeper that she went the more vulnerable that she became. The mistake of going into the woods would change her mortal life forever, all for one to use her as a pawn only to meet their end by her fangs.

Present Day: A letter

Being noble or royal comes with feeling lonely in a courtroom full of people. Though people surround such people; they don’t know them. It is hard to feel connected to even those of the same status as a person. This is due to the fact of how court life goes. Gossip and scandals always seem to be right around the corner. Forced into a brutal new life by a cruel maker, Natalya emerged from the ashes of that toxic sire-bond completely alone, finding no one left to trust upon her return. She may have spoken to her family, but it was never a personal thing. It was only for matters of court.

Such was the day a letter came for her from the Black Empire. Her mother was given the letter and after opening just to make sure it was reasonable, the empress walked quickly to Natalya room. Unlike the rest of the castle, Natalya ’s private chambers or any room that was hers always had the curtains always drawn so that no light was allowed to come in. Natalya only had some candles lit to read or do anything that she needed. Her mother found Natalya reading a book in the corner of her room. “ Наталья, вам пришло письмо.” (Natalya, a letter has come for you). Her mother stated with a thick Russian accent. Natalya looked up for a moment and gently took the letter from her mother’s left hand. “От кого это, мама?”( Who's it from mama)? Natalya asked before opening the letter.

The Empress did not answer her back just allowed her to find out herself. Natalya ’s crimson red eyes brightened seeing what was within. She had not been to a ball in what felt like a lifetime and judging by her aging mother it truly had been since Natalya had stayed the same age. Natalya knew that her mother was not going to be living forever and she couldn’t bring herself to turn her. Her mother was far too proud of a woman, but except the new form of Natalya only on the condition that the truth of Natalya be removed from history.

“Мне нужно подготовиться к балу, мама. Как ты думаешь, у нас найдется что-нибудь, что я могла бы надеть?” (I must prepare for a ball, mama. Do you think we would have anything that I can wear)? Natalya asked with a beaming smile upon her face. Natalya grabbed one of the gold cups that were set on the table next to her as she closed her book. She set her book gently on the table, took one of her fingernail, sliced her palm flesh, and allowed some of her blood to pool into the cup. She looked over at her mother and could see the look upon her face. Natalya only allowed her parents to drink some of her blood, never drinking theirs. This was her way of keeping them alive as long as she could. Sure, some may look at what she was doing as against the laws, but Natalya wanted her family as long as she could. She knew, however, that her mother would never allow herself to be turned and her father was the same.

Her mother gave a simple nod, took the cup, drank some of the blood leaving some in there for Natalya 's father then gave the cup to a servant to quickly give it to Alexei, who just had just come in. Once both parents drank her blood, the Empress helped her daughter prepare for her trip. Once she was all prepared, from dresses packed to everything that she would need, the Empress allowed a few servants to go with her daughter. Before saying her goodbyes to her parents, Natalya sat at her desk and wrote a return letter. The letter was sealed with her lips that were stained red and sent by an owl.

The travel:

After saying her goodbyes, Natalya set off to the Black Kingdom with just a few close ladies in waiting, and guards to protect her while on the trip. The journey was long and harsh for Natalya for she had to stay in the carriage while others had the ability to get out of it. She only could look out when the sky shined with the moon and stars above. With setting of the moon, Natalya looked up to become lost in the moonlight thinking back to when she first met King Gage. It felt like a lifetime ago, almost like once upon a December. But soon the moon would shine down upon a black castle coming into view.
