Echo had loved Adeena since they were children. He knew she wanted to run away with him. He wanted to marry her under the oak tree that they had carved their initials in when they were kids. She deserved a wedding, not an elopement. Echo gathered up courage to go to Black King Gage LeStat to ask for Adeena's hand in marriage. With a beautiful diamond ring in a box slipped inside of his pocket, he walked towards the Castle LeStat. He knocked upon the door. Jack greeted him. He allowed Echo entrance into the foyer. Echo looked at Jack. "How are you tonight my good friend? I am here to see King Gage. I have a serious question to ask him."
Echo was shown upstairs to Gage's office. Jack introduced his arrival while rapping upon the door. Echo entered, he swallowed hard, he could feel his heart pounding. Nervousness coursed through him as he looked into Gage's eyes. He pulled the ornate box from his pocket then placed it upon Gages desk, right in front of where Gage was sitting. "I have come here tonight King Gage, to respectfully ask for your blessing and permission, to ask your daughter Black Princess Adeena's hand in marriage." He watched as the box was opened. He smiled knowing the King would grant him permission.
