Disclaimer: This is
about how Freya came into Hans’ life and into the family. Also, disclaimer got
permission to auto Freya as a slight introduction.
One night:
When a man is young, he can be a bit wild and
untamable much like Hans Anhalt in his youth. He cared not for those he viewed
to be lower than him nor did he think he had to live by the rules of the mortal
world because he lived by the law of the old ways. The law of the old ways was
passed down to him by his family and those where like them. Unlike vampires and
some other magical creatures, witches and warlocks attempt to hold to their old
ways. At least that is what Hans always thought and would always believe. He
was what would describe arrogant, cold hearted, a man whore, and with a giant
pole up his ass.
There had been only one woman that was able
to get his attention, and he kept that to himself. He did not want anyone to
know at least those outside his family to know the truth about her. This was
because Hans from a young age had trust issues particularly when it came to any
form of information that dealt with his family or those he cared about. Hans, the handsome German lord knew that with
information came a great sense of power. Furthermore, his family had already
been ripped apart once, and he did not want the same fate or worse to happen to
the one female that at the time seemed to gain his attention.
Because he was so enamored with her so much
almost as if she was a seductress which was intriguing to him. After all, not
many could do such things as Hans. Hans was after all full of himself in many
ways. Yet in any case, the woman was able to get him into her chambers and
through the union even for just a night a new life was conceived. Hans only thought that it was a night of
passion or to release the inner beast inside him, little did he know that it
would change his whole world.
Years later:
After that glorious night, Hans never really
heard from that woman again nor heard about her. It was almost as if she disappeared
from the world not that he would care because he had other things to worry
about than just a fling. Trying to rebuild the family to its formal glory was
the only true thing to his mind along with finding the last of the siblings
that seemed to be still out there. It was not until one gloomy morning when he felt
that there was someone at the door that everything changed. Opening the door
slowly, Hans’ eyes met a young teen girl who appeared to look like him in
little ways. “Kann ich Ihnen helfen?” ( Can I help you?) He asked with a slight
tilt of his head to the right before taking a sip of peppermint schnapps. The
German warlock looked the young teen girl up and down feeling as if he had a
connection with her though he knew not the reason why. The young teen did not skip a beat and pulled
out of her pocket a letter marked which came with a familiar scent. The Dark Warlock did not know
at that moment, but that scent would bring back so many memories. “Du bist mein
Vater. Obwohl du nie von mir wusstest, wusste ich viel über dich.” (You are my
father. Though you never knew of me, I knew plenty about you.) She said with a
thick German accent mixed with what sounded like perhaps some French.
Hans took the letter and scanned it over with
his cunning eyes. His mouth opened wide as he began to be flooded with memories
of the one-night stand. “Meine Schwestern werden mich niemals im Stich lassen.”
(My sisters are never going to let me let this down.) The green-eyed German
warlock said to himself as he took a huge gulp of peppermint schnapps. “Komm
rein. Du solltest den Rest der Familie kennenlernen.” (Come in. You should meet
the rest of the family.) The German Warlock could not deny that the young woman
carried not only the family eyes but other features that was strictly from the
Anhalts. Moving out of the way, Hans allowed the young teen to come in before
closing the door behind them both. “Schwestern, könnt ihr ins Wohnzimmer
kommen? Ich möchte euch jemanden vorstellen.” (Sisters can you come into the
family room. There is someone I want you to meet.)
He said with his thick German accent. As
they walked, Hans attempted to smile a bit though he was still running through
his mind every memory he could think of that night. “Sie möchten keinen
DNA-Test machen, um zu beweisen, dass ich Ihre Tochter bin?” (You do not want
to do a dna test to prove that I'm your daughter?) The young teen that was
named Freya according to the letter asked looking at Hans with her green eyes. “Nein,
nur unsere Familie hat solche Merkmale wie grüne Augen. Plus! Ich spüre die
familiäre Verbindung.” (No, only our family really has such features as green
eyes. Plus! I can sense the family connection.) He stated with a clear matter-in-fact
tone within his voice. He walked her through the large house through to the
family room. “Kann ich Ihnen etwas zu trinken bringen? Setzen Sie sich, wohin
Sie möchten.” (Can I get you anything to drink? Sit wherever you wish.) Hans
said motioning to the large leather sofa and multiple chairs in the large
family room. The room was filled with large dark wooden bookshelves which were
filled with old books from what appeared to be every decade. Sofas and chairs also
filled the room along with a couple of large desks and end tables. Freya gave a
slight nod and sat down on one of the sofas as she looked around, “Kann ich
bitte etwas Wasser haben? Wie ist der Rest der Familie?” (May I have some water
please? What is the rest of the family like?) she asked with a calm tone.
Hans gave a smile went to where the water
and glasses were in the bar within the room. He poured some cool water with ice
within one of the glasses and walked back to her. “Bald werden Sie sie sehen
und selbst entscheiden, wie jeder ist.” (Soon you'll see them and make the
choice for yourself how everyone is.) Hans replied with a slight smirk on his
face as he handed her the glass of water. Hans was not very good at connecting
with people, especially if he truly did not know them. Hans made it his mission
to appear like an ass and to be distant from others. Even with family, he liked
to appear like he felt he was better than everyone else.
